How to have access to God’s Grace

Rom5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith  into this grace in which we stand

One of my favorite subjects is Righteousness. It is not a word that is used by many people, most people would be able to give a definition or attempt a definition for Grace, but not many people would be able to define Righteousness.

Righteousness is the Gospel, not grace or love as many believe, but Righteousness. Rom 1:16 .. the gospel… is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes … for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness…

We are as believers on our way to Heaven not because of grace but because we are righteous and if you are not righteous then you are unrighteous. 2 Pet 2:9  the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith… we have access by faith ..into this grace in which we stand.

We first have to be Righteous before we have access to the grace which we STAND.

Now, where does Grace fit in? It is by grace we are saved Eff 2:5 we were dead in your transgressions and sins,  in which we used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air.. [but now HE]… made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

So the purpose of grace is for us to be transformed from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light. Now the grace is also there to keep in in the Kingdom of Light. If we falter we know there is grace for us. 1 John 2

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

This is what it means to live by faith. The grace is not a license to sin but on the contrary to free us from the bondage of sin. In order to live a life like “the Righteousness of God” which we are.

I want to jump to the rebellion in the desert described in Num13/14,

Heb 3:13 “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. As has just been said:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”

Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

This Scripture refers to an event that we can read in Num 13/14. After the people rebelled against Moses God stated: Num 14:11 The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them? I will strike them down with a plague and destroy them, but I will make you into a nation greater and stronger than they.”

Moses then pleaded with the Lord for grace.

In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”
The Lord replied, “I have forgiven them, as you asked. 21 Nevertheless ….not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors.

So who entered into the promised land, was it not them that believed and whose bodies are still in the desert? Is it not those who have received grace?

I don’t want to take anything away from the grace of God, it is astonishing how full of grace God is, but as believers, we believe in the Righteousness of God. God grace has appeared to all men to bring them into his wonderful Light.

Rom 3
His righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his Grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus…. so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Therefore we have moved from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light,

God’s Grace allows us to run towards God when we sin.
If you sin, or before you sin evil thoughts enter in your mind, you should move closer to God because He has the solution for sin. This is the simplest form of repentance since its stop what you are doing and turn to God. If you run from God then you don’t understand the Grace of God.

Gods holiness can cause us to run from Him when we sin or even having the wrong thoughts. If you continue in your sin then you don’t understand the Holiness of God.

Gods blood is the solution to sin. This is one of the achievements of the cross. The cross will cause sin to be removed from your members. if you don’t change in your walk with God then you don’t understand the redemption and salvation of God.

When the Adversaries come

From Lambert:
1 Corinthians 16:9 KJV
For a GREAT DOOR and EFFECTUAL is opened unto me, and there ARE many ADVERSARIES.

Take Note:

What is our mindset.. when the ADVERSARIES come?

Do we wonder then if we have missed it, … misinterpreted God’s voice? Do we blame ourselves as having failed? Should we change strategy?

According to this scripture , it is safe to say that we can expect adversaries when we are in the Will of God.

If the enemy can get us to doubt whether we are in God’s will, we will stop doing His work.. isn’t that what the enemy aims to do?

Let us continue to seek His Face, get instruction from Him.. and while we DO His Work…

him (Satan, Devil, Serpent, Dragon) by

Revelation 12:11-12 KJV
And they OVERCAME him by the BLOOD of the LAMB, and by the WORD of THEIR TESTIMONY; and they LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES unto the death. [12] Therefore REJOICE, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, HAVING GREAT WRATH, BECAUSE he KNOWETH that he hath BUT a SHORT TIME.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

-Sound Mind

FEAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH.. because we Trust Him and He is Love.. if we activate the Faith in Him (Love), love will drive out all fear. Without Faith, we cannot tap into that LOVE.

So if God did not give us Fear.
He has given Faith in His unfailing LOVE.

1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

-Stand firm in the faith
-Be men, act like men
-Be strong

Get you Hope right

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for.
It is of vital importance in applying your faith to get your Hope right. Curry Blake said he once had an opportunity to see Lester Sumrall. He had 2 burning questions for the Man of God.

  • How do I know what is Gods will?
  • How do I know what God wants me to do?

Curry said the Lester replied. How do I know what is Gods will: read the Bible. How to know what God wants me to do: Do the Bible. Now, this brings me back to Get Your Hope Right. Rom 5:5 Such hope {in God’s promises} never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. AMP

Whatever you are going through get some scripture that speaks against that and put your hope in that, then even if your immediate outcome is not favourable, that scripture is still valid. Your faith is then not based on fleeting outcomes and every so often disappointments but in the Word of God. My pastor likes to say: This is the Word of God, God said it, I believe it and that settles it.

True Faith vs False Faith

How to identify false faith. Its actually easy. If its against the word of God its false faith. The true believers has this saying, “we don’t let ourselves be govern by our experience but rather by the Word of God.”

Now quite often our experience is not the same as what we believed God for, but if our experience differ from that of the Word of God, does that make the faith of God to no avail?

Does our failure to believe make the faith of God of no avail?  Rom 3:3 Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar..

True faith is to keep on believing even if our experiences differ. I think the most practical for everyone is this. We all have tried to stop sinning, and then we fail. Does our failure now constitute that we will always continue in sin?
Consider: 1 Jon 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

So if you do continue in sin, you just need more faith. Believe the Word of God above your experience.

(Read get your Hope Right post that is soon to come. ? )

Once that mountain moves, then you will know that the Word of God is trustworthy and true.

Hanukkah and the End Times

Here is my highlights (from part 2)  :

  • Could not have happened unless the people of God started to apostatize and compromise. They let falsehood in.  Sanctifying abominations.
  • Spirit of the Antichrist will change things that is natural to that which is unnatural.
  • Spirit of Blasphemy. It not really tolerance its just tolerance of evil. Its simply saying good is evil and evil is good.

The Maccabees :

  • Does not matter that the odds are against us.
  • We don’t wanna be politically correct.
  • They learned to become warriors.
  • It all out for God.
  • Never be discouraged.
  • Train your mind for God.
  • Carry on joyfully.
  • Be faithful and I have won.
  • God loves it when you have got to the point where you don’t think you can go on anymore, and you say “You know what: I will go on another step just for You God”, and that is usually when the breakthrough comes. (Remember joy does not stop)
  • They where the Hammers of God.

For some time now I wanted to give a definition of faith. Faith is one of the most important aspects of being a Christian, but recently I had some new insight into faith and want to share it.

My Faith Definition
Faith is to bring a FUTURE event into the NOW as it were decided already in the PAST.

Now if I go and pray for someone that is sick. I know that : by His Wounds I was Healed.

[By the way this is a quote from Isaiah 53:5 ...and with his wounds we are healed present tense and when it is quoted in the NT 1 Peter 2:24 ...By his wounds you have been healed. its the past tense]

Important here is to notice that you don’t have to convince God to heal someone, it has been decided already. So now I don’t see it , that’s why the person is sick, then, by faith I call some future event into the NOW as it were decided already in the past.?

If I do see a healing I don’t need more faith, but if it does not happen immediately, then you require more faith, and in doing so the more your faith grows and you will see more instant healing.

Lets just look at the scripture.(Faith is calling things that are not as they were)

Rom 4:17 KJV
..before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Now here is where many people has it wrong, they think faith is the stuff that you need “lots of” in order to get God to move for you, and its not, actually quite the opposite. You need to know who God is and what He wants to do, or already has done.

How do you try to have faith? Faith is the substance of thinks hoped for, your hope comes from knowing Him. Faith is your spontaneous result from your relationship with God. It is the outworking of Love through knowing Him, since he first Loved you. Faith works through Love, it’s a relationship, and Faith is the spontaneous flow of my Life through knowing him. If you are trying to have faith you are revealing that you don’t. Dan Mohler

What grace is for

A few days ago published a piece called What did Jesus save us from. Its a preface to this so please read it first before reading this :

It is important to notice that we receive grace even before we repent. I mean that most people think they are not “clean” enough to be a christian , or not “good” enough to be accepted by God, or not “doing the right thing” to be healed.

God shows his Love to us exactly in this, that He died for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8. Let me show it to you in the examples of the disciples lives :

See Peter: Luke 5:8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

See Matthew : Matthew 9:9 As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, 'Follow me.' And he rose and followed him.

See Paul : On the road to Damascus Acts 9

Grace is for us to come to God just as we are. We don’t have to first repent and then come, no come first, and let the Blood of Jesus wash your sins away. Once you have experienced the forgiveness of God repentance become natural.

When we proclaim the gospel I think we should do in in the same manner. We always first want to convert the Moslem before we pray for healing, convince the drunk to stop drinking, but Jesus died for the sinner.

Once forgivess and grace was given to you, why would you want to continue in it? I can compare it to a motor vehicle accident and if someone is prepared to fix the damage for free, to state after the reparations for someone to say :  “Wow that nice,  now I can crash it again!” is just weird.  Grace is given that we can stop sinning and not continue in it.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Sin causes us to shun from God, with God’s grace we can return into a relationship with Him, as sin causes death through grace we can again experience life.

Grace then implies we are free to break the law, if it does not then we won’t be free, but the more I am free to break it the more I dont want to break it, thats why there is a law of liberty, and in this law I act on it being a DO-er of the law and not just a hearer of it.

James 1:25 This law is writen not on stone but on our hearts.

What does Jesus save us from

John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.....

John 8:31 : If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ... Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed

Jesus has come to set us free from sin. He saves us from sin. Its in saving us from sin that we are brought over from the kingdom of darkness into is wonderful light. There is some confusion in the body of Christ regarding this. Does the grace message not make provision for sin, are we allowed to continue in our sins, because we are born in it. The answer is an emphatically NO. To think we can continue in our sins is contrary to what Jesus has come to save us from.

John 15:10 : As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

So what do I say, don’t I sin anymore! Yes I don’t, but if I do there is grace, so is there grace for me to sin , no there is grace for me NOT to sin. Its no longer I that live but Christ in me. Its because we want to esteem ourselves, we think of ourselves first then try to fit Christ into that picture and in doing that we are having so much difficulty overcoming sin.

From a very young age we try to do the right thing, and we look onto our parents to guide us to what is right and what is wrong, since its so part of who we are we are certain this is the way to do it. So we look onto the Law of God for what we must do, which is correct but where we fail is in tying to follow it without looking onto Jesus for help and it ends up being another distraction.

The solution is to look away from all that distract, including sin, and look on to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our  faith , who for the  joy  that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. We should not live for ourselves at all, and only live for Christ, see Him all in all, then we will find ourselves. He will then save us, from ultimately ourselves, and the desire to sin that is in us. SEE

Now my will has changed, since I love Him. Now I want to please Him, and in pleasing Him, I keep His commandments, not because I have to but because I want to.

Did you learn to Love?

Recently we had a conversation about the greatest commandment. Like so many other commandments I think we are incapable of accomplishing this one in our own strength. If we are honest with ourselves do you really think you would be able to love your enemies if we don’t have God’s love poured in our hearts?

In ourselves we are incapable of love. Love is from God.

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
1Jn 4:8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1Jn 4:10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us
1Jn 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

Rom 5:5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Rom 5:8 …but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God is the source of love, more than that: Love is a person, and its God. You need to seek Him in order to obtain Love and be able to Love.

Now this morning watching a steve cioccolanti youtube video he mentioned that someone had a near death experience and it goes something like this: He saw / experienced 2 queues of people. A long one all ending with people falling off a cliff and a sort one where Jesus is waiting. So he proceeded to the sort one and the lady in front of him was asked by Jesus: Did you learn to love? She proceeded to say yes and He kissed her and she entered into heaven.

(To my surprise I was looking for the person who had this vision and it was Bob Jones. )

Looking at myself Love is not something that comes from me, it is something that flows from God and like anything in the Word of God, we need to obtain it by faith.  We receive the Holy Spirit by Faith, and we can ask God to pour out his Love in our hearts by Faith. Only then will we be able to learn how to love.
