Dear brethren

So many have found some calling or task that we believe to be from the Lord. At the moment I am extremely busy with one of them, and I do believe it to be important but I have to be aware that all these things are distractions.

With all these things we do we can most a surely make a difference in the world but only if we are in Christ. The purpose of the gospel is to be reconciled to Christ, and then to be seated where He is, in that position we are useful. Its not in focusing on the issues / tasks at hand that is the victory but in focusing on the solution which is Christ. It was after all Martha that was busy with the things of the world and Mary chose the better. It is in focusing your eyes in Jesus the author an finisher of your faith and looking away from things that distract inducing sin. In that position : “In Christ” all the other scriptures that has the “In Christ” to it become fruitful.

Here is a few:

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
1 Cor 1:30 And because of him(Jesus) you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[b] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling[c] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Now as soon as you find yourself very busy, be it at the work of the Lord or not, you need to remind yourself that the most important thing is being reconciled with God. Sin and fears and tasks etc are distractions. Fix your eyes on Him.

Hope this is encouraging to someone.
May the Lord Bless you and Keep you.
